Day 01: Arrival at Paro Bhutan.

You will arrive at Paro airport in Paro. At the airport, our representative in Bhutan will come there to receive you. From there s/he will transfer you to a hotel in Paro. Take some rest at the hotel. In the evening, we will hold an orientation session. In the session, we will have talks, discussions, and video shows on Bhutan. Overnight at the hotel in Paro.

Day 02: Paro valley sightseeing. Overnight in hotel.

Paro is a beautiful valley in Bhutan. It is a beautiful town lying towards the west of Thimpu. There are many sacred and historical sites in Thimpu. We will make a visit to various sacred sites in Paro. Some of them are the Taktsang Palphug (Tiger’s Nest) monastery, Drukgyel Dzong, and others.

Day 03: Excursion to Taktsang Monastery. Overnight Paro.

Today, we will visit a cultural icon of Tibet, Taktsang monastery. This monastery is popular as Tiger’s Nest. The monastery is situated on a rocky cliff over a hillock in Paro. We will drive to the base of the cliff. From there, we will hike up through lush jungles and stone stairs.

The monastery is beautiful with lots of Buddhist shrines. There is a cave where a Buddhist teacher meditated for a long time. The monastery sits in a higher place. Thus, it is popular for sightseeing of the beautiful Paro valley lying down below.

After the visit, we will return to the Paro valley. We will stay overnight at a hotel in Paro.

Day 04: Drive to Thimpu. Sightseeing of the valley. Overnight at hotel, Thimpu.

From Paro, we will drive to Thimpu. Thimphu is the capital city of Bhutan. It is a beautiful valley where there are several cultural and historic sites. Some of the beautiful Buddhist sites are Tashichho Dzong, the Memorial Chorten, the national art museum, and many others.

We will visit as many sites as possible. In the evening, we will walk around the shops and the main streets in Thimpu. We will stay overnight at a hotel in Thimpu.

Day 05: Morning sightseeing, afternoon cultural program. Overnight Thimpu.

Today, we will continue sightseeing in Thimpu. Starting in the morning, we will visit several monasteries, dzongs, and several others. We will visit all these wonderful sites. The early morning visit to monasteries is spiritual. The chants and prayers sound amazing.

We will have a wonderful time exploring around Thimpu. In the afternoon, we will see the cultural program in Thimpu. They perform cultural mask dances wearing beautiful attires and traditional ornaments. You will have a lovely time.

Day 06: Drive to Wangdi Phodrang. Sightseeing of Punakha & Wangdi valleys. Overnight at Dragon Nest hotel, Wangdi.

From Thimpu, we will drive to Wangdi Phodrang. Today is a sightseeing day in Punakha where you can visit the famous Punakha Dzong. We will do a guided sightseeing tour in the beautiful Wangdi valley as well.

We will stay overnight at the Dragon Nest Hotel in Wangdi.

Day 07: Excursion to Phobjikha valley. Overnight Wangdi.

Today, we will have an excursion to the Phobjika Valley. The most popular thing about Phobjika is the Black-necked Crane. The bird is a whitish-gray bird with a black upper neck and legs. This bird breeds in the Tibetan plateau but migrates to Phobjika valley in Bhutan during winter.

After the excursion in Phobjika valley, we will drive to Wangdi. Overnight at a hotel in Wangdi.

Day 08: Drive to Bumthang valley. Overnight Swiss Guest House, Bumthang.

After having breakfast at our hotel in Wangdi, we will take a drive to Bumthang. The drive is scenic and comfortable. We will reach Bumthang and will walk around. We will stay overnight at the Swiss Guest House in Bumthang.

Day 09: Bumthang valley sightseeing. Overnight Bumthang.

Bhumthang valley is a beautiful valley in Bhutan that is popular for sightseeing and touring. There are several cultural and historic sites in Bumthang that are among the tourists from around the world.

Jambay Lhakhang, Kurje Lhakhang, Jakar Dzong, Tamshing Lhakhang, Konchogsum Lhakhang, Tharpaling Monastery, and Tangbi Goemba are some of the sites of attraction. These sites are beautiful and are enriched with religious, artistic, and historic importance.

After sightseeing in Bumthang Valley, we will stay overnight at a hotel there.

Day 10: Drive to Mongar. Overnight at the lodge, Mongar.

It’s a complete driving day today. We will start early in the morning. The drive is long yet is scenic. Enjoy the amazing scenic views along the road. We will stop at several points for lunch, toilet, buying some snacks, and others. After reaching Mongar, we will check into a hotel and will stay there overnight.

Day 11: Drive to Trashigang. Sightseeing of Trashigang township. Overnight at the lodge, Trashigang.

From Mongar, we will drive to Trashigang on this day. At Trashigang there are several attractive destinations to visit. At Trashigang, we will go for sightseeing of Trashigang township. We will visit some sites like Trashigang Dzong and the temple of Gom Kora.

After sightseeing, we will return back to our hotel and will stay overnight there. Lunch and breakfast at the hotel.

Day 12: Drive to Samdrup Jongkhar, the eastern border town. Overnight at hotel, Samdrup Jongkhar.

It is again a driving day. Today is the second last day on our tour. We will drive from the hotel in ¬¬¬-the morning after having breakfast. We will stop at several points on the way for lunch, toilet, and for some other reasons. Finally, we will reach the Samdrup Jongkar.

Samdrup Jongkar is the eastern border town in Bhutan bordering with India. We will stay overnight at a hotel in Samdrup Jongkar.

Day 13: Drive to Guwahati Airport in India (nearest) for departure from the Kingdom by flight.

From Samdrup Jongkar, we will drive to Guwahati airport in India. At the border, we will have to wait for the customs formalities. From the airport, we will fly off from the kingdom of thunderstorms, Bhutan.
