Detail Itinerary
Day 01: Kathmandu (1,300m) – Lhasa (3,650m)
Departure from Tribhuvan International Airport of Kathmandu to Lhasa. You will have a scenic Himalayan flight to the roof of the world. On reaching the airport at Lhasa, our representative from Nepal International Tours & Treks will pick you. He/ she will transfer will greet you and transfer you to your hotel. Overnight stay at a hotel in Lhasa.
Day 02, 03: In Lhasa
On the second and third day of your Special Tibet Tour, you will explore the beautiful city of Lhasa. You will visit the Potala Palace in Lhasa. The palace is an example of one of the most beautiful architectural buildings in the world.
Visiting the Jokhang Temple will give you an insight into Tibetan Buddhism. The temple is also popular with the name as the “ House of Buddha”. You will explore the famous Barkhor street that encircles the famous Jokhang temple. Exploring the Drepung Monastery and Sera Monastery is also the major attraction of today’s trip.
Day 04: Lhasa – Tsedang (3,450m)
After having your breakfast, you will drive towards the town of Tsedang. Tsedang is the birthplace of Tibetan Civilization and plays a significant role in the development of Tibetan Buddhism. You will explore the Samye Monastery in Tsedang. It is the first Buddhist monastery in Tibet that follows basic terms of Buddhism. The monastery is about 1200 years old and is one of the most influential monasteries in Tibet.
Day 05: In Tsedang
After having your breakfast, you will visit some of the major attractions of Tsedang today. Yumbulakang and Trundruk monastery are highly influential and historical sites in Tsedang. Both the monasteries hold rare sculptures and paintings from ancient times. Overnight at lodge in Tsedang town.
Day 06: Tsedang – Kathmandu
On the last day of your Special Tibet tour, you will drive towards the airport at Lhasa. From there, you will take a flight to the Kathmandu Airport for final departure.
