Nepal panorama tour is designed for travelers with a desire for varied adventure. This adventure package will be two weeks long but travelers can change or extend according to their holiday schedule. Detail Itinerary
Day 01: Arrive at Kathmandu and transfer to Hotel.
On arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport meet our staff with GA complimentary transport transfer to relevant Hotels, our guide will give you briefing of the Hotel, Kathmandu, Tours and related information that you might require while in Nepal with Great Adventure Treks & Expeditions.
Day 02: Half day guided sightseeing tour in Kathmandu.
After your first night in Kathmandu, you will be well informed on arrival about the time for your sightseeing tour in Kathmandu at places of interest.
After breakfast GA interesting toura drive towards Pashupatinath Temple one of the holy Hindu Temple. Situated 5-kms east of Kathmandu, the temple of Lord Shiva-Pashupatinath with two tiered golden roof and silver doors is famous for its superb architecture. Visitors can clearly seen the temple and the activities performed in the temple premises from the eastern bank of the Bagmati River. Apart from Hindu’s no one are allowed to enter the main Temple premises, however we take a short walk by the bank of Bagmati River where one can observe the pilgrims and Hindu priests activities. This River is also a cremation site of the Hindu’s. From here a short drive leads to the Bouddhanath north east from Pashupatinath area.
The Stupa of Bouddhanath lays 8-kms east of Kathmandu. This colossal and ancient stupa is one of the biggest in the world. This area is also known as ‘Little Tibet’ after a visit here observing the Tibetan Buddhist way of life, our tour continues towards Patan area, which is situated on the south of Kathmandu, and it is separated by a bridge over the River Bagmati. Patan is also known as Lalitpur meaning city of Arts. As you enter the old Palace courtyard (Durbar) the tall terracotta house looks fascinating with intricate window carvings, and the Stone Temple of Krishna with the pillar of Garuda the vehicle of Lord Vishnu and as well of Lord Krishna. After the historic visit a short drive leads towards the end of Patan area at Tibetan Refugee camp where one can observe the happy-cheerful workers weaving carpets. This place was established in the early 1970’s after the Chinese invasion in Tibet where a great number of Tibetan migrated here, and the Nepal Government established this place as a permanent camp or settlement for the Tibetan Refugees, after a wonderful day with lunch at Patan area, drive back to the Hotel.
Day 03: Drive to Chitwan National Park from Kathmandu.
After breakfast, we will start our drive to Chitwan National Park from your Kathmandu. Our staff will come to pick you up at the hotel. Upon reaching Chitwan National Park, you will be transferred to your resort/hotel. Take some time to freshen up after a long drive and will be gathered at evening for a Tharu cultural program.
Day 04: Chitwan National Park Jungle Activity
After breakfast, we will leave for jungle activities like Elephant ride and jungle walk. we will take a break for lunch and start our other activities like canoeing, bird watching, and visit elephant breeding center.
Day 05: Drive to Lumbini from Chitwan.
Early morning, after breakfast, we start our drive to Lumbini. Lumbini is the birth place of lord Buddha and famous among all Buddhist followers around the world. Upon reaching, you will be transferred to your hotel and after lunch, your guide will take you to the famous Lumbini garden and Maya Devi temple.
Day 06: Drive to Pokhara from Lumbini (via Tansen, Palpa)
After breakfast, we will start our drive to Pokhara from Lumbini. We will take a detour from Tansen, Palpa to Pokhara. Tansen is old Newari Village filled with Traditional Newari architecture. Palpa was the seat of the Sen kingdom that ruled over this region from 16th century for almost 300 years. You will be amazed to see this beautiful, picturesque village. After that, we will continue to drive to Pokhara. Upon reaching Pokhara, you will be transferred to your hotel.
Day 07: Pokhara Sunrise view and sightseeing.
Pokhara is the second largest township in Nepal and enjoys a beautiful setting beside the large lake of Phewa, Rupa, and Begnas. From here are magnificent views of Mt. Maccahapuchare the famous fishtail peak. For sunrise view, we drive early morning to Sarankot, Our staff will come to pick you up early in the morning and reach Sarankot view tower. After the magnificent view of sunrise, you will be drove back to your hotel room and have breakfast and leave for sightseeing tour in an hour. For sightseeing, you will be toured around following places.
The Phewa Lake, the second largest lake in Nepal, adds to the enthralling beauty of Pokhara. The changing light of the sun on the Phewa Lake provides aesthetic calmness to the lovers of nature. On the eastern side of the lake, visitors can find a cluster of restaurants and pubs. Along with these attractions, boating, sailing, kayaking, canoeing, swimming, bird watching, fishing and angling are some of the activities which you can participate in at Phewa Lake. In the midst of the lake stands the Varahi Temple, , where animal and bird sacrifices are offered to the goddess Varahi by Hindu worshippers every Saturday.
David’s Fall is a charming little waterfall located about 2 km southwest of the Pokhara Airport on the Siddhartha Highway. Also located very close to David’s Fall is Gupteswar Gupha, a mysteriously sacred cave that holds special value for Hindus since a phallic symbol of Lord Shiva is perfectly preserved here in the condition it was discovered in. Locally, it is also named as Gupteswar Mahadev.
Bindybasini Temple is the oldest religious shrine in Pokhara built in the 16th century. The main shrine of the temple is dedicated to the Goddess Durga where Hindu worshippers flock to perform sacrifices, especially on Saturday. Mahendra Gupha and Chamere Gufa are two other major, attractive natural sites reached after a two-hour walk north of Pokhara. The Mahendra Gupha is known as the ‘House of Bats’ and Chamere Gufa(Bat’s Cave) are aptly named owing to the number of bats living within theirwalls.
Seti Gandaki Gorge, a wonder of nature that goes underground, vanishing from sight in many places along its route through the city. At various points the river is barely two meters wide and cuts a deep, narrow valley. . A good spot for watching the river below is Mahendra Pul, a small bridge at the center of the city.
World Peace Pagoda, a massive Buddhist stupa, is an impressive site in Pokhara situated on top of a hill on the southern shore of Phewa Lake. Besides being an impressive sight in itself, the Buddhist shrine is a great vantage point which offers spectacular views of the Annapurna range and Pokhara City.
Day 08: Pokhara to Nagarkot.
After breakfast, we will start our scenic drive to Kathmandu valley and reach Nagarkot in the late afternoon. Upon reaching, you will be transferred to your hotel room. Freshen up a bit and get ready for the magnificent sunset view from the Nagarkot view tower. Nagarkot is one of the famous hill stations of Nepal. Many people come here to enjoy the suburb experience on the outskirt of Bhaktapur city.
Day 09: Drive to Kathmandu from Nagarkot.
After breakfast, we will start our drive to Kathmandu, which takes roughly an hour and half to reach. Upon reaching, you will be trasnferred to your hotel room and you will have a leisure time for whole day. Go for a stroll around the city, buy souvenir for your loved ones or just simply immerse in the beauty of the city.
Day 10: Final Departure
Final day to say goodbye to this beautiful country and depart for your next destination. Our staff will drop you off at the airport for your flight back or to next destination.
